Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who was born on July 16, 1990 in Surulere, Lagos. He started making music at a young age and gained fame with the release of his debut studio album, Superstar, and its hit single “Holla at Your Boy.” After his contract with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) expired, he left and collaborated with Drake on the chart-topping song “One Dance,” which helped him gain global recognition. Wizkid attended Ijebu Ode Grammar School in Ogun State before briefly attending Lagos State University in 2009 and then transferring to Lead City University in Ibadan. However, he only completed two semesters before dropping out.
Wizkid has three children with three different women. His first child, Boluwatife Balogun, was born to Shola Ogudugu when she was 19 years old. The couple had a dispute about child support, which was eventually resolved through a DNA test that confirmed Wizkid’s paternity.
